There are many opportunities on Pine Stump Farms to learn about the woods, farming, animals, and just get in touch with nature and let yourself relax and "listen out" to the sound of the woods.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • thinning the woods

  • building structures with pine logs

  • getting firewood

  • gardening

  • tending goats, horses, chickens

  • making cheese

As registered WWOOF hosts, Carey & Albert have a work routine of 6 hours a day for 4 days with 3 days free for people to go exploring locally.  There are numerous lakes, such as Dry Falls Lake below, where canoeing or swimming are a luscious way to enjoy the 360 days of annual sunshine. Generally, a minimum stay is one week, unless otherwise negotiated. We provide a cabin to stay in or camping in exchange and a large mid-day meal on the work days.

We have had visitors from many locations throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Europe.  The cultural diversity is something we enjoy being part of.  Our commonality is our authenticity and genuine pleasure in being in touch with nature and ecologically sound land management and enjoyment.

Please feel invited to correspond with us at info@pinestumpfarms.com  to inquire about your personal Farm Stay.  March through October are generally the most eventful. . . unless you enjoy cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and winter hikes, then the winter months would interest you, as we have a couple feet of snow each winter for 2-3 months.
