Goats

Goats have been a part of Pine Stump Farms since its inception some 14 years ago. Originally, there were just a couple of goats for the family's personal milk use. We have a variety of breeds, each one has its special purpose.  The goat herd includes Saanen, Alpine, Oberhasli for dairy and Nubian, Boer and Kiko breeds for meat.

Adopt-a-Kid

We also offer the "adopt a kid program" where you can select one of our herd and in exchange for your sponsorship, we will send you pictures, updates, and goat-keeping information. This is a great way to learn about what's involved in farming life and goat raising in particular. It is especially fun for kids (the human kind)! Contact Carey to learn more.

If you are interested in buying a goat for your own weed control, pulling a cart, back packing, or whatever use, please email contact us and specify what you are interested in and we will work with you individually to develop a delivery method that fits your locale and taste. We are located in North central Washington state, so the closer the proximity, the better the price.

Goat Cheese

Having goats naturally leads one to consider the many other benefits they can offer, such as goat cheese!  Healthful and flavorful, we embrace the farmstead goat cheeses that are available regionally, such as Sally Jackson's of Havillah and Quillisascutt in Rice, WA.

We received our license in July of 2006

Goat Meat

Did you know that more goat meat is eaten world-wide than any other kind of meat?  The meat is lower in fat than chicken but higher in protein than beef.
